She tried reading many books in English, but it didn't help.
She doesn't know what to do...
So, what can you do when you find yourself in this kind of a situation?
Are you all wondering how to become more fluent in English?
Are you struggling with using English?
Becoming fluent in English can seem like a difficult task.
You might think - How can I become fluent in a language that is not my native language? Is that even possible?
Maybe you've been learning English for years but you're still struggling with reaching a high level of fluency.
The key to success is finding the way of learning English that suits you the best.
I have met many students of English which are struggling with reaching a high level of fluency, and I've contemplated for a long time about how I can help them.
So, it is time to introduce you with my tips and tricks to English fluency!
Here are my 3 secrets to English fluency!
1. Write as much as you can in English.
This is one of the best ways you can improve your English fluency. Writing in English can be very helpful because it gives you a chance to work on your spelling, vocabulary and grammar skills.
Start each day by writing a few short paragraphs in English. It can be whatever you want. You can write down the lyrics of your favourite songs, quotes from your favourite book or movie, etc.
Here's my tip for all of you: Write a short story in your native language. It doesn’t have to be long, just 200 words or even more if you want. And then try to write it in English. You don’t have to translate each word, just try to write in English what you wrote in your native language.
2. Listen to English as much as possible.
Perhaps the best way to work on your fluency in English is listening to the language. You can listen everything you want – songs, radio, TV shows, movies, etc. Watch your favourite TV show and try to pay more attention to the language itself. You can also watch movies and TV shows without subtitles.
That way you will pay more attention to what people are saying, instead of just reading the subtitles. It may seem difficult at the beginning, but after a while, you will be able to understand more and more.
3. Read in English as much as possible.
Reading in English will influence both your vocabulary and grammar skills. While reading, mark the unknown words and look them up in a dictionary. That’s the best way to learn new vocabulary.
Also, pay close attention to grammar. Look for different use of articles, or verb tenses, anything connected to grammar. Reading is crucial for people who are trying to learn a language. You can read books, magazines, blog posts, newspapers, comics, etc.
You can also try watching movies you like with English subtitles. If you watch a movie in English with English subtitles, that’s double win! You listen to English and read in English at the same time.

Now, I present to you my two recommendations for a book you can read and a movie you can watch to improve your fluency.
PETER PAN by J. M. Barrie
Peter Pan is a famous classic. Almost all native English speakers will have read this book at some point in their school days. It is an easy read because almost everyone around the world knows the story of “Petar Pan”. I recommend this book to you because it is aimed at children, which means that the vocabulary isn’t very difficult. So if you don’t have much experience in reading books in English, this is a great book for you to start working on improving your English fluency.
Every night Peter Pan visits the Darling family and listens to bedtime stories. One evening, the children see Peter and he tries to run away, but loses his shadow. He goes back to get his shadow and wakes up the children. He invites them to join them in Neverland. The children travel with him to Neverland and experience a lot of adventures there. After all their adventures and fun, the children decide that they want to go home.
Up is a computer-animated comedy-drama adventure film, produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is a great movie for all of you trying to improve your English fluency. I recommend it to you because the vocabulary isn’t very difficult and it’s a great start towards watching movies with more complicated vocabulary. Like I said, try to watch it with English subtitles so that you listen to the movie and read the subtitles at the same time. It’s a great practice!
Carl and Ellie met when they were young, and she told him that one day she would like to live on the cliff overlooking Paradise Falls. When Ellie passes away, Carl decides to move their house to the cliff. He uses thousands of helium balloons to turn their house into a makeshift airship. However, a young boy names Russell, accidentally goes on the trip with Carl. After many bumps along the way, they manage to land Carl’s house on the cliff beside Paradise Falls, and Carl finally fulfills his promise to Ellie.
What would have happened if Yvonne had followed these tips?
She would have been very fluent in English. Her school colleagues would even have thought that she's a native speaker of English!
